As promised, here is my year 2011 in music and films, formerly known as Xmas-mix. I am currently trying out a service called MIXCLOUD thanks to René, here we go, have fun, enjoy:

And a brief note on this Mix: As every year I included a section in respect to artists that passed away in 2011 – starting out with Freddy Mercury and Queen, who died 20 years ago, so I felt this was a good start. Than there’s Ludwig Hirsch with a fragment of his song „the dwarf“ which beautifully intersects with a quote from the imp aka „Game of Thrones“, as followed by Oliver Reed from the fantastic Ken Russell movie „the Devils“ from 1971 (my year of birth), and concludes with another austrian songwriter, Georg Kreisler, who’s razor-sharp and timeless lyrics will be strongly missed. Yes, I know, there’s more people who passed away. Sorry, that I can’t pay tribute to them all. Come on, it’s enough with death already… and there’s „Six Feet Under“ quotes all over the place!
